Professional Development Workshops
2007-2008

These after school workshops are first offered to the staff in our District and will count toward professional development hours. If space remains, these workshops are available to the community of Roselle. Pre-registration is required, the form for registration can be obtained by clicking here. Incentives are available after attending 5 workshops for teachers only.  When workshops are held in the computer labs and hands-on, registration is limited to 25 participants per class.

Attendance is voluntary and teacher's will not be compensated for their attendance. Please do not sign up for advanced or intermediate workshop unless you have basic knowledge of program.

Tuesday 3/11/08 3:15-5:15 DIFFERENTIATING INSTRUCTION STRATEGIES  This workshop will explore the principles and learn many strategies needed to set up a differentiated classroom. In a differentiated classroom, students are regularly offered choices, and students are matched with tasks appropriate to their readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles. Tuesday 4/8/08 3:15-5:15 THINKFINITY The Thinkfinity program provides no-cost, standards-based Internet content for the K-12 teacher and classroom, developed by the nation's content experts. Online resources include panel-reviewed links to top sites in many disciplines, professionally developed lesson plans, classroom activities and materials to help with daily classroom planning, and powerful search engines. Thursday 4/10/08 3:15-5:15 NON TRADITIONAL STUDENT DISABILITIES - This course will educate teachers and support staff with an overview of the non-traditional medical conditions that have affected some of our students.
